North Midland Construction PLC (NMC) was founded in 1946 by Major T Moyle, whose family manage the business to this day. The PLC has two subsidiary companies, North Midland Building Limited and Nomenca Limited.

NMC is a civil engineering and construction company  working in numerous sectors including water industry, power distribution, EfW and waste treatment/ handling, rail and industrial and commercial projects

Within the water business, we are a  leading construction company, delivering water treatment plants, sewage treatment plants, pumping station and infrastructure assets for several of the UK Water Companies for over 20 years.

With our dedicated and experienced project and design management teams, our  engineering resources, and our in house tradesmen and operators (totalling over 1000 people within the business), we deliver innovative and best  value solutions.

Working in the AMP programmes for nearly twenty years, and for the future AMP 5 and AMP 6, we have grown our personnel, behaviours and values to work in both collaborative and competitive Frameworks, and in Alliances and Joint Ventures. Sustainability and reduction in waste are driving values within our business and we aim to sustain our leading performance in carbon reduction throughout our business. By driving our standards higher we will lower our carbon footprint.
